Circus in Spokane

I’m gonna make you wait for the “Circus in Spokane” part because I want to tell you about another farm we went to before Spokane. We stayed at a nice, quiet, what we call “everything” farm. They had berries, many different kinds of vegetables, and botanicals, along with a bunch of pretty flowers (If you don’t already know, I loooove flowers:)! So we got to eat a lot of fresh food and try out some skincare products. One morning we got to pick berries. Abe and Mom really liked doing this kind of work.

On the way to Spokane we visited the Grand Coulee Dam. It was mainly a stop for Dad, since he’s an engineer and is very interested in that kind of stuff. We all learned a lot though! Although the dam isn’t as high or in as much of an impressive spot as the Hoover Dam, it is over four times wider, and it contains roughly three times as much concrete as the Hoover Dam! The Grand Coulee supplies electricity all the way across Washington and even into Idaho, Oregon, California, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, and even Utah!

Ok, now onto Spokane…We stopped at our Great Aunt and Uncle’s in Spokane, WA for a few days. We had a blast!! There was a nice camping pad prepared for us with full hookups–a luxury! It was really nice to take reall showers in their house too:) But the main attraction was the aerial silks! Aunt Joanne gave us a couple lessons on how to do some of the beginner poses on the silks. It was sooo fun!! They had converted an old barn on their property into a gym! It was reallyyy cool to see my grandparents’ generation doing splits, drops, and flips in the air on long pieces of soft fabric hanging from the ceiling!! They had incredible upper body strength! Me on the other hand…not so much (cheesy smile emoji)!
